بِسْـــــــــمِ اَللّهِ الرّحْمن الرّحيم
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Today marks 2 weeks of my father's passing. It was a sombre morning today. At times I ask myself is he really gone? I have accepted and redha of his passing but sometimes when I am at my parents, I cannot help but feel as though he is still around, sitting at his home office getting lost in his work before coming up for a break to play with Ammar.

I have been receiving calls from his good friends. I am reminded each time of what a great man my father was and how joyed he was by Ammar's presence. I can only hope I will be half the man he was. He left me with a medley of memories. All I have left of him, are his memories and no material goods or whatsoever could replace that.

I love you to infinity and beyond Ayah, I hope while I am still travelling in this lifetime, I am able to supplement dua and sedakah for you in shaa Allah.

On our first wedding anniversary, we headed to Marche Movenpick for dinner. I didn't want to fuss about the night so everything else that happened after dinner was pretty much impromptu. the night was stellar. Alhamdulillah.

"Millions and millions of years would still not give me half enough time to describe that tiny instant of all eternity when you put your arms around me and I put my arms around you."
— Jacques Prévert
My heart found it's home, and it's with you Iman :)

Alhamdulillah, a year has passed, and today we celebrate our 1st anniversary as husband and wife. I can never thank the Almighty enough for His wonderful gift to me; Iman (duh!). All praises to the Almighty.

this was 3 years ago I reckon, when I just moved to my current home.

Our wedding is in seven months time, yet people around me; my friends specifically are more excited than I am. Uncanny isn’t it? To back the truth trolley, I am stoked with excitement yet I find it difficult to express my excitement with others except with Iman and our families..(Oh and our friendly wedding photographer, Faris Fakri!) It is a whole new step for me, I was reading online forums about brides-to-be not excited, their reasons were maybe there are doubts about the marriage or they are not really into the guy.

I beg to differ (and I am sure there are many like me), I am excited about starting a journey with the boy I literally fell head over heels for over four years ago. And four years came forward, and I am still in love with that same boy, who over the years transition to a man. Who taught me so much about life, who watched me grow and grew with me as we both embarked into adulthood. Al though we have not tasted all the salt and pepper life has to offer but insya'Allah we will together as man & wife.

I admire Iman, he is truly a blessing from the almighty. Ameen.  He really is, the other half that makes me whole.

We're coming to our 4th year as a couple, Iman still leaves me clad with butterflies every other time :)

Cannot help but left with a smirk when I heard this song, reminded me of our 'younger' days :)

I'm envisaging hard, how my recipients would feel having such a detailed wedding invite like the above. hehe. It is a cute idea, but to actually summarize how Iman & I met and to unfold our love story, would take more than an A3 size paper to cover... I've known him since I was 15 and the rest is history :)

Operation Surprise fiance, fail!

I reckon he recognized the smell of my perfume that lingered in the air, and secondly, I gave myself away by giggling =_="

Spaghetti with shrimp, arugula and sweet basil.

My love for Italian food is what got me cooking in the first place (okay, that's a lie, I learned to cook to impress Iman :p. I only started cooking (enthusiastically) two years ago, while I was in Melbourne. It was our anniversary and I wanted to make Iman a special meal, rather than eat out like our usual anniversaries, so I surprised him with a candlelight dinner, pan fried salmon smothered with Cilantro & lemon and baked potato salad (oh boy, did I impressed him alright! the downside is I have to kick it up a notch once we're hand-fasted! he-he, I kid, I kid!).

(Pan Fried Salmon with Cilantro & Lemon and baked potato salad)
Not bad huh for a first timer? :D

will post up the recipe soon.
