this was 3 years ago I reckon, when I just moved to my current home.

Our wedding is in seven months time, yet people around me; my friends specifically are more excited than I am. Uncanny isn’t it? To back the truth trolley, I am stoked with excitement yet I find it difficult to express my excitement with others except with Iman and our families..(Oh and our friendly wedding photographer, Faris Fakri!) It is a whole new step for me, I was reading online forums about brides-to-be not excited, their reasons were maybe there are doubts about the marriage or they are not really into the guy.

I beg to differ (and I am sure there are many like me), I am excited about starting a journey with the boy I literally fell head over heels for over four years ago. And four years came forward, and I am still in love with that same boy, who over the years transition to a man. Who taught me so much about life, who watched me grow and grew with me as we both embarked into adulthood. Al though we have not tasted all the salt and pepper life has to offer but insya'Allah we will together as man & wife.

I admire Iman, he is truly a blessing from the almighty. Ameen.  He really is, the other half that makes me whole.

It was a nice, hot Friday afternoon. I went to drop some of my tartlets over at Iman's. Hung out with the future in laws while they were finishing lunch. Disturbed Uncle Jamil about his soar throat "Uncle, have you eaten your honey today?" ha-ha! (inside joke) Our laughter filled the air.

After a bite of my tart, Uncle Jamil has agreed to become part of my GPA (Guinea Pigs Association) Uncle Jamil is so cool yo!

He asked me "Balqies how many tarts are there left?" I replied "3 uncle, I put in extra just in case Azyan wants another 1 or 2..." Uncle then replied me "if I finish it all right now, Iman wouldn't even know you brought tarts" more laughter broke. he-he.

We headed to Kelana Jaya for some Laksa & Cendol. We shared a table with this man, named Wan. Very nice guy. Ended up treating us tea. Bless him :) Such a blessed Friday. ameen.

I was at the hospital yesterday visiting my cousin and my new born niece. I was stoked with excitement. I love the smell of new born babies, I can't fathom the smell. Perhaps once I've a child of my own I'd be able to enlighten you all.

A few days back, was talking to Iman about how I did not want children immediately after marriage. Is it normal to be clad in fear? My mind was pregnant with thoughts. New born infants are so delicate. I have this fear of not being able to hold my own child properly. So many what if's ... this is all foreign to me. Of course, I did not tell Iman this, I kept giving him really lame excuses which annoyed him "I'm not ready ... we're not ready... we're not financially stable, etc.." but he talked to me, reminded me that regardless of my reasons I would somehow know what to do once I've come to that stage and I should be happy if it's our rezeki (insya'Allah) to have a child early.

Children are a source of delight and an adornment for the world granted by Allah to their parents, they give vigor to the hearts, joy to the souls, pleasure to the eyes. They are the fruit from whom good is to be hoped for when they frequently supplicate:

"Our Lord! Bestow on them your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small" [Noble Quran 17:24]

Luncheon with Iman's and his auntie Ani's family at Dapoer Bandung.

 Photos by Ayub & Me

More photos later, I'm currently at the office. The weather has been unpredictable these days. With the bright afternoon sun surrendering to the heavy rain. On my way back home, I could vaguely see the road, I was driving in fear, even though I've driven in far worst weather, especially with the fact that I live on top of a hill, well sort of and am surrounded by the medley of tall big trees, and there were reminiscence of tree branches on the wet asphalt road, I'm very fortunate to be driving after those branches have fallen and not during. Alhamdulilah.

Well, I best be off, need to get ready for dinner tonight @ Shook!  :)

Have a stellar rating evening! Salam & goodbye!

I wonder if I'll ever be ready for motherhood. but I can't help being in awe by some of my friend's children. Makes me want to have one!  I want my baby to look like Shiloh Jolie Pitt or Suri Cruise...

(I had to post this one! HA-HA!)

with Asian features of course.

I wasn't a cute baby, I was often mistaken as a boy. not even close to handsome -_-

even this baby was cuter and prettier than me!  I don't have to tell you who this baby is :p
