June has proven to be a hectic month for me.I am juggling between photography and working with the Chef in a Hat. Workload is pilling up, and I feel like I need to duplicate myself to keep the show going!

I'll be traveling a lot this month insya'Allah for work and pleasure. Hence why I'm rushing to meet datelines so when I'm out of town, I can be at peace and not glued to my iPhone or laptop. ..(yeah, right!).

Here's a sneak peek to where I'm off to:

First location from the 21st-24th of June

Second location from 29th of June - 1st of July.

I was supposed to head down to Sydney, Australia on the 14th of June for an assignment but it got postponed to some time August. Oh well, at least I am traveling! Now back to work!

I am supposedly on a work break, but it has been an insanely busy week! I have been scrambling to get things done before the Royal Wedding we will be covering the week to come (we, as in Team Asyraf Lee). Fret not ladies! Prince Harry isn't getting hitched anytime soon! ha-ha!

Also, I've been commissioned to take photographs of a field-joint coating (rigid foam) demo, (please pardon the jargon) this Thursday. Industrial photography, I've never done anything of such but I should be versatile, no?

Insya'Allah all goes well, I won't deny that I am very... nervous... about both jobs!

I've been in a semi comatose state lately, I decided to muster all the energy from within to write an entry. Perhaps I'll get used to working in due time. I've been so comfortable having people driving me around to work and when my current job demands me to drive to merchant's locations, drive back to Groupon HQ and the dreadful ascending walk... my body is a little shocked!

However, I'm proud to say that I have driven on most of the highways and byways compared to my friends who kept nagging at me to get my license, and it's only this September that my P license is one years old. so hooray for me! he-he :)

P-day! September 23 2010

Apart from that I love my colleagues, each of them have their very own persona and we all get along real well :) (alhamdulilah). I still have a lot to learn when photographing interior, and really need to stop indulging upon the free food I shoot, I've gotten rounder since I started working a month ago, I need to lose weight to stay healthy and fit and of course to look and feel good on my wedding day (and the days after, and months, years ... after I given birth.. you get the drift)

ps/ don't forget to check out Groupon

this coming July is an important month for Team Asyraf Lee as we have been commissioned as official photographers for a wedding by the Royalty of Selangor. I am stoked with excitement, and can't help but be nervous. A little worried about the protocol, and how some people like to use their authorities to a certain caliber just to please themselves when the host themselves do not intricate situations.

Well, insya'Allah everything will go smooth sailing.  The last time I covered a Royal event on my own without Team Asyraf Lee, I got trampled by some MALE senior photographer (on purpose) because I had a nice shot of the Prime Minister's wife, Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah and Datin Seri Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah. Oh well.  Perhaps his ego was wounded when he found out a 21 year old girl (2010) was official photographer for the event and he was backup photographer. tsk tsk.

ps/ I received some e-mail from some of you asking if I took up any classes on photography. the answer is no. I am a self taught photographer. I was a protege of Tom Hayton (a British fashion photographer) but before he moved to Barcelona. And was later hired by Asyraf Lee after he saw my portfolio :D but before this I was offered to be part of The Picture Company HQ but turned down their offer as I was not ready to pack up and leave my family and Iman to work in Manila, Philippines. Also, I'm not doing a degree in Photography :)

whoa, this is such a lengthy post!
